Spirit Lifter from Tom Kesting

Sparkle

It's early morning and the day lays ahead. . .
Looking at God's creation I am spiritually fed.

I've made a choice to live with sparkle today. . .
And from my point of view it's the only way.

There is so much to be thankful for. . .
God just keeps giving and He gives us more.

God has turned on my light so I'll sparkle with delight. . .
Therefore, I will give loving all I've got and do what's right.

Don't make me do all the sparkling because you can sparkle too. . .
Make up your mind that you'll put some sparkle in what you do.

So join the sparkle team and sparkle with me. . .
Let Jesus turn on His light in you so others can see.

Peacefulness

A mind at peace is a treasured gift. . .
The possession of such will give your life a lift.

In Isaiah we learned that it's available to all. . .
And it can only begin with our heart's call.

So stay your mind on God today. . .
And enjoy His peacefulness as you go on your way.

I sought the Lord and He sought me. . .
And now I am as happy as I can be.

There was something missing down deep inside of me. . .
The Holy Spirit opened my eyes and I was able to see.

Now I am as happy as I can be. . .
I sought the Lord and He rescued me.

God's Place

May eyes are captured by the beauty I see. . .
I feel the presence of God enveloping me.

The outline of the mountains, the clouds in the sky. . .
God's creation gives a natural high.

I see birds soaring going from peek to peek. . .
Memories like these you want to keep.

God created all this beauty for me and you. . .
And we take it for granted - that's what we do.

I love being in the mountains any time of the year. . .
I feel so close to God when I am standing here.

High in the mountains with the wind in my face. . .
This, my friend, is God's place.

A Purpose To Be

You may find this hard to believe but God planned the smallest details on that day He formed this earth. . .
And even more exciting is that He carefully planned each detail of your birth.

He selected the color of your eyes, the texture of your hair. . .
And even the circumstances of your days - the hows, the whens and the wheres because He planned to be there.

God has had a perfect plan from all of eternity. . .
He wants to touch the lives of others through the life of you and me.

He takes great pleasure in blessing and filling us with a great joy beyond measure. . .
And the reason - we are His creation and a rare and priceless treasure.

You may find this hard to believe but God created you and me. . .
That's the reason we have a purpose to be.

For You

For most of his life the man had said "No". . .
But on a cold winter's night God spoke to his heart as he lay in the snow.

Spiritual things had no place in his life. . .
But he had children who did and a believing wife.

He was compelled to rescue a frightened bird that had gone astray. . .
And God opened the eyes of his heart on that eventful day.

You never know what God will do. . .
But He does have a special rescue plan for you.

You can run, you can hide, you fight and complain. . .
But often God speaks best when you're in deep pain.

God wants you with Him where you belong. . .
And that's the reason you hear God's rescue song.

Walk The Walk

So you're a Christian and I've heard your lofty talk. . .
But brother I am more interested in your daily walk.

Our actions have to support what we say. . .
If we want to make an impact for the way.

So be careful with your talk. . .
But more careful with your walk.

Our actions shout out loud. . .
But mere talk is like a rainless cloud.

A well placed deed. . .
God can use to meet a special need.

It's nice to talk the talk. . .
But it's more impressive to walk the walk.

A Cheerleader

I know some whose lives are engulfed in feelings of woe. . .
And they carry those feelings of desperation wherever they go.

Lord, help me to be to others a cheering ray of light. . .
Help me to inspire them with courage to climb to some new found height.

Help me to love them and be a helpful beam of light. . .
Shining a ray of hope as they linger in the darkened night.

We all need a cheerleader to stand by us by and by. . .
It's easy to stare at the ground when we should looking at the sky.

The Words I Speak

I said something today I should not have said. . .
And now I am filled with remorse as I lay here on my bed.

The words I spoke were to someone I love. . .
And they reacted like a frightened dove.

We made up and all is well. . .
I hate those horrid stores I have to tell.

Lord, what can I do to watch what I say? . . .
Psalm 141:3 is a great verse to pray.

Put a guard over my mouth and the words I say. . .
And may the words I speak help others to have a good day.

I believe that God wants the best for you and me. . .

And being contented He wants us to be.

Look what He has given us and we didn't even have to ask. . .

A marvelous mind to do a difficult task.

A pair of hands to work with or to touch the ones we love. . .

This was a free gift given from above.

Then there are friends to help and encourage us along the way. . .

Those who will stand by us when we may have had a bad day.

When we open our eyes we see a world of unlimited abundance all around. . .

And then He puts a purpose in our hearts, this I've found.

I really do believe that God wants the best for you and me. . .

But being obedient children is what He really wants us to be.

T.K.

". . .but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing." Psalm 34:10

Blessings From God

An attitude of gratitude makes your day go right. . .

Enjoying God’s blessings from morning until night.

Food to eat and a place to sleep. . .

And if we should die before we wake, our soul He’ll keep.

God is good; there is no doubt about that. . .

Learn to thank Him no matter where you are at.

Things could be worse we all agree. . .

So I’ll thank God for you and you thank God for me.

Remember, an attitude of gratitude makes your day go right. . .

Blessings from God – morning until night.
